Norfolk SUP Surf & Sauna Weekend - 4th & 5th March 2023

Part of our Paddleboarding Events Uk offer with expert knowledge and coaching from Daddyboards, we have various opportunites to hit the surf and enjoy a full weekend of SUP Surf skills.  We even hosted a Winter session last year for the weather hardened.

The weekends will include SUP Surf Skills including the basics of catching waves, forecasting, correct stance, first manoeuvres and of course safety elements of the beach/surf environments.

This course is ideal for those who can paddle comfortably on flat water and are able to fully control a board. Day one will prepare you for the surf with some board handling and agility skills and day two will be putting it all into practice amongst the waves. This course is a combination of theory on the land but with lots of practical included too.

In addition to the SUP Surf element, we've teamed up with Sauna Box HQ to provide a wild sauna experience to warm you up after hitting the surf.

Sauna Box Provides horse trailers that have been converted into traditional, Scandinavian saunas. 

These saunas are wood fired, reaching temperatures over 85 degrees celsius and completely off grid, providing the perfect wild sauna experience

Rough intinery is as follows:

9am - theory in a local cafe

12pm - first pracitcal

2pm - tea break

3pm - second practical

Day two -

9am - pracitcal

11am - tea break

12pm - last practical

2pm - end of the day

The cost for the weekend is £170 pp including sauna use. This does not include accommodation.  Participants will need to organise this themselves.  There are several options available locally and at reasonable prices.

Full wetsuit is required and can be provided if needed. Boards are available to hire at an additional cost of £20 per day - Please message in advance if required.

We recommend staying in Great Yarmouth which provides easy access to the possible locations for the weekend. these locations are remote and participants will be required to make their own there but don't worry full directions will be given.
