Norfolk SUP and Wild Sauna Weekend

Our Paddleboarding Events UK Norfolk SUP weekend will is one not to be missed! The focus as with all of our retreats is to offer a friendly introduction to more advanced SUP disciplines for our paddlers. We often give people their first experiences on the sea. This weekend will focus on SUP surf whereever possible but if the surf gods are not with us then we shall ammend the pracitcal to another suitable Paddleboard activity such as surf skills, Down Winding or similar. This time we have included a relaxing SUP tour to end the holiday on!

This course is ideal for those who can paddle comfortably on flat water and are able to fully control a board. Day one will prepare you for the open water with some board handling and agility skills and day two will be putting it all into practice amongst the waves. This course is a combination of theory on the land but with lots of practical included too. In addition to the SUP Surf element, we've teamed up with Sauna Box HQ to provide a wild sauna experience to warm you up after hitting the surf.

Sauna Box Provides horse trailers that have been converted into traditional, Scandinavian saunas.

These saunas are wood fired, reaching temperatures over 85 degrees celsius and completely off grid, providing the perfect wild sauna experience

There is a range of accomodation available locally. We have sourced accommodation options for all budgets too.

Our favorite brick and mortor establishment is the stunning Dairy Barns bed and breakfast and we have  sourced a discounted rate - simply use the code Paddle at check out! The Diary Barns have a choice of double en-suite or luxurious Extra Special rooms availble to book. They provide a drying room too. Dairy Barns is nestled in a working farm a short drive from the beach. Book your space directly through their website.

For those that are wanting to be more self sufficient we have also secured camping spots right by the beach in the lovely The Acre camp site. https://m.facebook.com/people/The-Acre-Sea-Palling/100071208226048/  Toilets and fresh water are provided, there are public showers in the village a short distance away. Vans are permissable but only with a pup tent along side. Simple select camping ticket when purchasing your space via this website.

Rough intinery is as follows but subject to change depending on conditions:

9am - Open Water Theory in the local cafe - Beach Rock Bistro. Offering quality locally sourced butchers meat, homemade cake, soup, chutneys and pastries.

12pm - First pracitcal

2pm - Tea break

3pm - Second practical

4pm - Wild Sauna from Sauna Box HQ with sea dips in between finishing with a chill out by the firepit.

Day two -

9am - Pracitcal

11am - Tea break

12pm - Last practical

2pm - lunch

4pm - Option to end with another Sauna for an additional £15 pp paid direct to the the guys at Sauna Box HQ.

Day Three -

9am - Meet for a Scenic paddle - either on a local river or the sea depending on conditions

1pm - lunch

The cost for the weekend is £225pp including booking fees.  This does not include accommodation.  Participants will need to organise this themselves.  There are several options available locally and at reasonable prices. We also have the option to stay at Sauna Box over night for camping and Vans cost is £10 per night.  There is no hook up but there is running water.

Full wetsuit is required and can be provided if needed along with boots. Boards are available to hire at an additional cost of £20 per day - Please message in advance if required.
